May 18 (Bloomberg) -- Bloomberg's Haslinda Amin reports from Bangkok on the country's political unrest. The government engaged protesters in cease-fire talks after extending a deadline for women and children to leave an area in the Thai city where gun battles have taken place over the past six days. Intermittent explosions and gunfire could be heard throughout central Bangkok yesterday, where at least 36 people have died. Bloomberg's Susan Li also speaks. (Source: Bloomberg)
